Church Life

Men’s Breakfast

On the first Saturday each month at 8:30am we get together in the hall for a good breakfast, usually cooked as a team effort. We chat about all kinds of things as we eat a hearty breakfast. Open to all, and free of charge (suggested optional donation of £3/head). As well as the traditional fry up healthy options are provided!

Women’s Group

The Women’s Group meets the second Tuesday of each month to hear a speaker, to share in conversation, and to offer each other prayer and support.

Summer Fete

Each August, St Mary’s has a summer fete to celebrate the end of the season and to raise money for charity. The fair is usually the last Saturday in August.  Do come along, or contact us if you’d like to get involved.

Social Events St Mary’s loves to get together to talk, to celebrate and to share food. Young Church gathers frequently, formally and informally. We have bring and share lunches throughout the year, and occasional coffee mornings. See News for details.

Music Groups We enjoy lots of different types of music at St Mary’s. Much of our music is supported by organ. Other times, a music group leads us in more contemporary worship songs. New musicians and singers are always welcome. Email the Rector if you would like to ask about taking part.

House Group

A House Group meets fortnightly on a Wednesday, to pray and to study together. The group is ecumenical, and members choose the topics for discussion and learning. For more information, please contact us.

Link Communion

The Link is a communion service at 10.30am on the first Thursday of every month. Its purpose is to maintain a solid worship connection between St Mary’s Church and our Mothers’ Union members, and the Forth Valley MU branch. It was begun after the decision was made to merge dwindling local church branches into a wider branch.
The service usually features a talk about and prayers for some aspect the wonderful work of MU, sometimes with a guest speaker. Followed by coffee and biscuits. All are welcome, whether or not mothers/parents, MU members, male or female!

Craft Group

The Craft Group meets in the church hall every Monday afternoon at 2pm. Bring your own projects, or join in the ongoing work that the group does for charity. This is a great place to make friends, learn new skills, and share ideas.
